Happy 4th of July! Today marks the last day of our massive 30% off sale at TFT Designs, so I hope everyone takes advantage of this special offer to grab our slim tall dress shirts at a discount. As we celebrate, I want to share what this day means to me personally, a journey that’s evolved over time.
Growing up in Europe, my first encounter with Independence Day at age 17 was a bit of a culture shock. Arriving in America with a competitive spirit already simmering, much like the rivalry between the US and Europe, I found the holiday’s energy a bit overwhelming. People would chant “USA” in my face, bragging with pride that sometimes felt more like a challenge than a celebration. It wasn’t always enjoyable. I often thought, “Chill out, bro, we’re not competing, I’m here to have fun with you, not to one-up each other.” That initial experience left me with mixed feelings about the 4th of July, a day that seemed to amplify national pride in ways I wasn’t used to.

As the years passed and I spent more time in America, my perspective began to shift. I started to see beyond the surface-level bravado and appreciate the deeper meaning behind the holiday. Independence Day isn’t just about rivalry or loud patriotism, it’s a celebration of the land of opportunity and the freedom that defines this country. That realization hit home as I pursued my own dreams here. Without America, my basketball career wouldn’t have taken off. Without this nation, I wouldn’t have met my amazing wife, who’s been my rock. And without the US, TFT Designs wouldn’t exist, allowing me to serve hundreds of happy clients with dress shirts tailored for tall men.
Today, as I work toward my own citizenship, I find myself loving this country more with each passing year, and with it, the 4th of July. This holiday now represents a personal milestone, a chance to reflect on how America has shaped my life. The fireworks, the barbecues, the sense of community, they all feel like a tribute to the opportunities I’ve seized here. It’s a day to honor the freedom that let me turn a struggle with ill-fitting shirts into a business that solves that problem for others.
So, as we light up the sky tonight, I want to give a shoutout to America, you rule! Thank you for giving me a place to grow, love, and build. And to all our customers, enjoy the 4th of July festivities, and don’t miss out on that 30% off sale before it ends at midnight PDT on June 26, 2025. Here’s to freedom, opportunity, and a perfect fit for every tall man out there!
